  • 3/4 cup (130g) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Cream the peanut butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl using a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth and slightly fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract until the batter is glossy and thick.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the peanut butter batter with a spatula until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and optional chopped peanuts evenly into the batter.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
