  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease thoroughly.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar together. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Mash the ripe bananas in a separate bowl until creamy, then stir them into the wet ingredients.
  5. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  7. Pour the rest of the batter over the cinnamon layer, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  8. Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
