These cranberry turkey stuffing balls are tender, flavorful, and bursting with festive cheer, making them the perfect holiday appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or finely chopped
  • 2 cups stuffing mix, homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chicken or turkey broth
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced small
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley, sage, thyme, or rosemary), chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded turkey, stuffing mix, and dried cranberries. Mix everything thoroughly.
  3. In a small skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and celery, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly before adding to the turkey mixture.
  4. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl, and mix them into the stuffing mixture. This will help bind the ingredients together.
  5. Add the chicken or turkey broth a little at a time, stirring until the mixture is moist but not too wet. You want it to hold together when shaped into balls.
  6. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and chopped fresh herbs. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized stuffing balls. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the stuffing balls are golden brown and firm to the touch.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with cranberry sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

[‘Don’t overmix to keep the stuffing balls tender.’, ‘Add more broth if the mixture feels dry.’, ‘Lightly grease your hands to prevent sticking when forming the balls.’, ‘Bake one stuffing ball first to check consistency before baking the rest.’, ‘Fresh herbs enhance the flavor significantly.’]
