Apple Snickers Salad - featured image

A nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dessert salad featuring crisp apples, chopped Snickers bars, and a creamy vanilla pudding base. Perfect for fall parties, potlucks, or cozy family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Gala), peeled and chopped (about 3 cups)
  • 5 full-size Snickers bars, chopped (about 7 oz)
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix (dry)
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (optional)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling or mixing in)
  • Lemon juice (for tossing apples, optional)
  • Roasted peanuts or pecans (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and chop apples into bite-sized chunks. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Chop Snickers bars into small pieces. Chill bars in the fridge for 10 minutes before chopping for easier slicing.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2-3 minutes. If using cream cheese, blend it in now until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in whipped topping until the mixture is fluffy and creamy.
  5. Add chopped apples and Snickers pieces to the creamy base. Fold in gently with a spatula.
  6. Drizzle in caramel sauce and gently swirl for ribbons of caramel throughout (optional).
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Before serving, garnish with extra chopped Snickers, roasted peanuts, or apple slices as desired.

Notes

Chill all ingredients before mixing for best texture. Use tart apples for crunch. Fold gently to avoid breaking down apples. For gluten-free, use gluten-free candy bars and pudding mix. Substitute Greek yogurt for whipped topping for more protein. Salad is best served cold and can be made a day ahead.
