This Creamy BLT Dip combines crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, and shredded lettuce in a luscious, tangy, and ultra-creamy base. It’s the perfect crowd-pleasing appetizer for parties, potlucks, or game days, and comes together in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices bacon (about 6 oz), cooked crispy and crumbled
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, finely shredded
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced (Roma or cherry recommended)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional toppings: extra bacon bits, chopped tomato, fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Lay bacon slices flat in a cold skillet. Turn heat to medium and cook until crispy, about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels, cool, then crumble.
  2. Dice tomatoes into small cubes (remove seeds for a thicker dip if desired). Finely shred lettuce and pat dry with paper towels. Slice green onions if using.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth (about 2 minutes with a spatula or hand mixer).
  4. Add shredded cheddar cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until evenly combined.
  5. Gently fold in crumbled bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, and green onions. Mix just until blended (do not overmix).
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more sour cream for tang or a pinch of salt if desired.
  7. Optional: Cover and chill in the fridge for 30-60 minutes to let flavors meld, or serve immediately.
  8. Spoon dip into a serving bowl. Garnish with extra bacon bits, chopped tomato, and chives if desired.
  9. Serve with toasted baguette slices, pita chips, crackers, or fresh veggie sticks.

Notes

For best results, use freshly cooked bacon and pat lettuce and tomatoes dry to avoid a watery dip. You can make the creamy base ahead and fold in veggies and bacon just before serving. For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. For vegetarian, use veggie bacon. If dip thickens after chilling, stir in a tablespoon of milk or sour cream.
