This creamy garlic pasta is a quick and comforting dish loaded with flavor, perfect for busy weeknights or lazy evenings. Ready in just 30 minutes, it features a velvety garlic sauce that clings beautifully to every strand of pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine (8 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir to combine and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  4. Add grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Reduce heat to low and toss cooked pasta into the skillet, coating it evenly with the creamy garlic sauce. Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
  6. Allow pasta to cook in the sauce for 1-2 minutes to absorb flavors.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

[‘Don’t overcook the garlic to avoid bitterness.’, ‘Use fresh Parmesan for a smoother sauce.’, ‘Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.’, ‘Customize with red pepper flakes or lemon juice for added flavor.’]
