A quick and refreshing frozen treat combining creamy banana nice cream with bright orange segments and a honey drizzle. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a vibrant snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large frozen ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 2 medium oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup/agave for vegan option)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free alternative (e.g., coconut yogurt)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Chopped nuts or seeds for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel ripe bananas, slice into chunks, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Peel and segment the oranges carefully over a bowl to catch juice; set aside.
  3. Place frozen banana chunks into a high-speed blender or food processor. Add vanilla extract and Greek yogurt or alternative.
  4. Blend on high for 2-3 minutes, scraping down sides as needed, until smooth and creamy like soft-serve ice cream. Add a teaspoon of water or milk alternative if too thick.
  5. Spoon the banana nice cream into serving bowls. Arrange orange segments on top.
  6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle lemon juice over the bowl.
  7. Add optional chopped nuts or seeds for crunch. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness and creaminess. Add liquid gradually to maintain thick texture. Serve immediately or freeze for 10 minutes if melting too fast. Substitute maple syrup or agave for honey to make vegan. Fresh berries or pomegranate seeds can replace oranges seasonally.
