Creamy Snickers Apple Salad is a nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dessert featuring crisp apples, fluffy whipped topping, vanilla pudding, and chunks of Snickers bars. It’s quick to prepare, perfect for potlucks, and always a hit with kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 56 medium apples (about 2 lbs), Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji, chopped
  • 6 regular-sized Snickers bars (about 8.5 oz), chopped
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • Optional: 1/4 cup salted peanuts
  • Optional: Chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Wash, core, and chop apples into bite-sized pieces. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Chop Snickers bars into 1/2-inch pieces. Chill bars first if sticky.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Fold whipped topping into the pudding mixture gently until combined and fluffy.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped apples and Snickers pieces.
  6. Pour creamy pudding mixture over apples and Snickers. Gently fold until all apples are coated.
  7. Fold in optional mini marshmallows and/or salted peanuts if desired.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for best flavor and texture.
  9. Serve chilled in a bowl or trifle dish. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle extra Snickers or peanuts on top if desired.

Notes

For best results, chill the salad for at least 1 hour before serving. Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for balanced flavor. If prepping ahead, add Snickers bars just before serving to keep them chewy. Substitute gluten-free or dairy-free ingredients as needed. Salad is best eaten within 24 hours; leftovers can be stored up to 2 days but apples will soften.
