Creamy Strawberry Matcha Latte

A refreshing and Instagram-worthy summer drink combining sweet strawberry puree, creamy milk, and earthy matcha for a perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons hot water (about 175°F/80°C)
  • 1 cup milk (whole milk or dairy-free alternative like almond, oat, or coconut milk)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add the sliced strawberries and sugar to a blender. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer if you prefer a smoother texture.
  2. Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a bowl to prevent clumps. Add 2 tablespoons of hot water and whisk vigorously in a ‘W’ motion until frothy and smooth.
  3. In a tall glass, add a few ice cubes. Pour the strawberry puree over the ice, filling about 1/3 of the glass.
  4. Slowly pour the milk over the strawberry layer, filling another 1/3 of the glass. Leave space for the matcha layer.
  5. Carefully pour the prepared matcha over the milk layer. The layers should remain distinct for a beautiful presentation.
  6. Garnish with a slice of fresh strawberry or a sprinkle of matcha powder, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
