Ingredients

Scale
  • 12-count pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices deli turkey breast (about 8 oz)
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese (about 3 oz)
  • 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese (about 3 oz)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating the rolls. Place the bottom half in a baking dish or sheet pan.
  3. Arrange 12 slices of deli turkey evenly across the rolls.
  4. Layer 6 slices of Swiss cheese over the turkey, then 6 slices of sharp cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layers and press gently.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder until smooth.
  7. Brush the buttery glaze evenly over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and parsley if using. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  8. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 7-10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing into 12 portions.
  11. Serve hot. For transport, cover loosely with foil.

Notes

For best results, use real butter and deli cheese. Prep ahead and refrigerate for up to 4 hours before baking. To prevent soggy bottoms, bake uncovered for the last 7-10 minutes. For gluten-free or dairy-free adaptations, use suitable rolls and cheese. Leftovers reheat well in the oven and can be frozen for up to 2 months.
