This recipe features golden, buttery crescent roll dough wrapped around mini sausages, baked to crispy perfection and served with a sweet-tangy honey mustard dip. Perfect for parties, snacks, or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz / 227 g) crescent roll dough
  • 24 mini cocktail sausages
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds or sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Press seams gently to seal and create one large sheet. Slice the dough into 24 equal strips, about 1 inch wide.
  3. Place one mini sausage at the wide end of each dough strip. Roll tightly towards the narrow end, ensuring the dough wraps snugly around the sausage.
  4. Arrange the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  5. Brush each pig in a blanket generously with melted butter. Sprinkle garlic powder and optional poppy or sesame seeds on top.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
  7. While baking, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth to make the honey mustard dip.
  8. Remove the pigs in a blanket from the oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet for 3-5 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with the honey mustard dip.

Notes

If dough is sticky, chill for 10 minutes before slicing. Seal dough seams well to prevent sausage leaks. For extra crunch, broil 1-2 minutes at the end. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness. Freeze unbaked for up to 2 months and bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to baking time.
