Crock Pot Angel Chicken - featured image

A creamy, flavorful, and effortless slow cooker recipe that feels like a warm hug after a long day. Perfect for busy weekdays and versatile enough to serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, softened cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of your crock pot in a single layer. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken should be tender and easily shred with a fork.
  5. Carefully remove the chicken and spoon the sauce over your chosen base—pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or veggies. Garnish with fresh parsley or Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

[‘If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of chicken broth to thin it out.’, ‘If the sauce is too runny, let it simmer uncovered in the crock pot for 15-20 minutes to thicken.’, ‘Use fresh chicken instead of frozen for even cooking.’, ‘Taste the sauce before serving and adjust seasoning as needed.’]
