Tender, juicy chicken infused with creamy ranch flavor, this Crock Pot Ranch Chicken recipe is the ultimate comfort food for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the boneless, skinless chicken breasts with a pinch of salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, dry ranch seasoning mix, minced garlic, and chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour the ranch cream sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  4. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  5. Once cooked, use tongs or forks to shred the chicken directly in the crock pot. Stir it into the sauce to fully combine.
  6. Optional: If adding shredded cheddar cheese, sprinkle it on top and let it melt for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘For extra flavor, quickly sear the chicken breasts in a hot pan before adding them to the crock pot.’, ‘Taste the sauce before serving and adjust with more ranch mix, salt, or pepper if needed.’, ‘If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of chicken broth to loosen it up. If it’s too thin, let it cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes to reduce.’]
