Tender, juicy chicken fillets simmered in a rich, creamy garlic-Parmesan sauce, perfect for cozy family dinners or fancy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken fillets (breasts or thighs)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pound chicken fillets to an even thickness (about ½ inch) and season both sides with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat to medium, melt butter in the same skillet, and add minced garlic. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the skillet. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese, whisking until melted and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the fillets, and simmer for 2-3 minutes to warm through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley or additional Parmesan, and serve hot with pasta, mashed potatoes, or a side of crusty bread.

Notes

[‘Don’t overcook the chicken to keep it tender.’, ‘Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best texture and flavor.’, ‘Scrape up browned bits from the skillet for added depth in the sauce.’, ‘Thin the sauce with chicken broth if needed or simmer longer to thicken.’]
