Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into thin strips)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 12 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken strips evenly.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, black pepper, apple cider vinegar, and chili flakes. Pour the glaze into the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss to coat.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Plate the pasta and top with the honey pepper chicken. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley if desired.
