Festive Christmas Mistletoe Margarita

A quick and easy holiday cocktail that combines tart lime, sweet cranberry, and smooth tequila, garnished with sugared cranberries and rosemary for a festive touch.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver or blanco tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Granulated or coarse sugar for the rim
  • Lime wedges for the rim
  • Sugared cranberries for garnish
  • Rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rim: Spread granulated or coarse sugar on a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into the sugar to coat. Set aside.
  2. Mix the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, cranberry juice, and simple syrup. Add a handful of ice cubes.
  3. Shake it up: Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the mixture is well-chilled.
  4. Strain & serve: Strain the margarita into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish: Add a few sugared cranberries and a sprig of rosemary for a festive finishing touch.

Notes

For a mocktail version, replace the tequila and Cointreau with sparkling water or lemonade. Adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of simple syrup.
