Rich, fudgy brownies decorated as festive Christmas trees with green frosting and candy sprinkles, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (85g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240g) green frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Candy sprinkles (stars, ornaments, or snowflakes)
  • Mini candy canes (optional, for tree trunks)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  7. Once cooled, cut the brownies into triangles using a knife or tree-shaped cookie cutter.
  8. Pipe green frosting onto each triangle to create the ‘tree’ design. Decorate with candy sprinkles and mini candy canes as desired.

Notes

Line your pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Warm frosting slightly if it’s too stiff for piping. Practice frosting designs on parchment paper before decorating.
