Fireball Whiskey Balls are a quick, no-bake holiday treat featuring the spicy warmth of cinnamon whiskey, vanilla wafers, cocoa, and nuts. Perfect for gifting, parties, or a festive pick-me-up, these boozy bites are rich, fudgy, and irresistibly easy to make.

  • 2 cups (about 220g) vanilla wafer cookies, finely crushed
  • 1 cup (100g) powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling
  • 1 cup (120g) chopped pecans or walnuts (toasted for extra flavor, optional)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) light corn syrup or pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (50g) powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Optional: festive sprinkles or cocoa powder for coating

Instructions

  1. Measure out all ingredients. Crush vanilla wafer cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag and rolling pin. Chop nuts finely.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, chopped pecans, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Pour in Fireball Whiskey and corn syrup. Mix with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon until the dough is sticky and holds together when pressed.
  4. If the mixture is too dry, add another tablespoon of whiskey or syrup. If too wet, sprinkle in more crushed cookies, a tablespoon at a time.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out portions and roll between your hands to form 1-inch balls. Place balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Roll each ball in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, or sprinkles for coating.
  7. Let the balls rest on the tray for at least 30 minutes to firm up. For extra firmness, refrigerate for 1 hour.
  8. Transfer to an airtight container. Serve chilled or at room temperature, or gift as desired.

Notes

For gluten-free, use GF vanilla wafers. Toasting nuts adds flavor. If mixture is too dry or wet, adjust with whiskey or cookie crumbs. Chilling is key for texture and flavor. Roll balls twice in powdered sugar for a snowy look. Easily adapted for dairy-free, vegan, or nut-free diets.
