A refreshing and vibrant alcohol-free mocktail combining sweet ripe mango, tangy lime, a hint of spice, and a signature Tajín rim for a perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons agave nectar or honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (plus extra for rim)
  • 2 to 3 thin slices fresh jalapeño (optional)
  • 1/2 cup club soda or sparkling water
  • Tajín seasoning for rimming glasses
  • Salt for rimming, mixed with Tajín if preferred
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glasses by moistening the rims with a lime wedge. Mix equal parts Tajín seasoning and salt on a shallow plate. Dip the glass rims into the mixture, twisting gently to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine diced mango, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and chili powder. Blend until smooth and pourable.
  3. Add jalapeño slices to the blender and pulse a couple of times for subtle heat. Skip if milder flavor is preferred.
  4. Pour the mango mixture into a pitcher or shaker. Add club soda or sparkling water and stir gently to combine. Chill with ice cubes or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Fill Tajín-rimmed glasses with ice cubes. Pour the mango mocktail over the ice, garnish with a lime wedge or jalapeño slice if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe Ataulfo mangoes for best texture and sweetness. Adjust spice level by varying jalapeño slices and chili powder. Chill mango base before adding soda for better flavor melding. For a frozen version, blend mango puree with ice instead of adding sparkling water. Store mango mixture without soda in fridge up to 2 days; add soda and ice before serving.
