A quick and easy dessert nacho bowl featuring cinnamon sugar coated tortilla chips layered with melted chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and optional toppings like nuts and berries. Perfect for parties and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 flour tortillas (8-inch), cut into triangles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
  • Chopped nuts (optional; toasted pecans or walnuts)
  • Fresh berries (optional; strawberries or raspberries)
  • Caramel sauce (optional drizzle)
  • Sea salt flakes (a pinch)
  • Shredded coconut, toasted (optional)
  • Peanut butter drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Cut 6 flour tortillas into 8 triangles each (about 48 chips). In a large bowl, toss the chips with 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter until evenly coated.
  3. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, tossing gently to coat.
  4. Spread the coated chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden. Watch closely near the end to avoid burning.
  5. Transfer the baked chips to a large oven-safe serving bowl or platter, layering them evenly.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips evenly over the chips, followed by 1 cup mini marshmallows. Add any optional toppings like chopped nuts or berries.
  7. Place the bowl on a baking sheet and put it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching carefully until marshmallows puff up and turn golden brown. Alternatively, use a kitchen torch to toast marshmallows.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce or peanut butter if using, and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes to balance the sweetness.
  9. Serve immediately while warm with melty chocolate and gooey marshmallows.

Notes

Do not skip the butter for crispiness and flavor. Watch marshmallows carefully under the broiler to avoid burning. Chips can be baked ahead and stored airtight for up to 2 days. Add toppings and toast marshmallows just before serving for best texture. For dairy-free, use coconut oil and dairy-free chocolate chips. For gluten-free, use gluten-free tortillas.
