A vibrant and easy-to-assemble charcuterie board featuring a balance of salty meats, creamy cheeses, and juicy seasonal fruits, perfect for spring gatherings and casual snacking.

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Salami, mild variety
  • Soppressata or chorizo slices (optional)
  • Goat cheese, creamy and spreadable
  • Brie, soft-ripened
  • Sharp cheddar, cubed
  • Parmesan shards
  • Strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Green grapes, whole
  • Apricots or peaches, sliced thinly
  • Rhubarb, lightly blanched
  • Fennel fronds or fresh mint leaves
  • Marcona almonds, toasted
  • Honey or fig jam
  • Crackers or sliced baguette
  • Olives, pitted and marinated (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits: Wash all fruits thoroughly. Hull and halve strawberries, slice apricots or peaches thinly, and rinse grapes. Lightly blanch rhubarb in boiling water for 30 seconds, then shock in ice water. Pat dry all fruits with a paper towel.
  2. Slice the cheeses and meats: Cut cheddar into bite-sized cubes, slice brie into wedges, and shave parmesan into thin shards. Arrange goat cheese in a small bowl or form into a small log. Fold or roll prosciutto and salami slices.
  3. Arrange the board: Place cheese and meat clusters spaced evenly on the board. Fill gaps with fruits, nuts, and crackers. Use small bowls for honey, fig jam, and olives. Garnish with fresh herbs like mint or fennel fronds.
  4. Final touches: Drizzle honey lightly over goat cheese and some fruits. Scatter extra nuts or edible flowers for presentation. Step back and admire before serving.

Notes

Prep fruits last to prevent browning. Let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving. Avoid overcrowding the board for better presentation and flavor balance. Customize with seasonal fruits and dietary preferences.
