A quick and easy breakfast bowl combining creamy cottage cheese, ripe banana, and crunchy cookies for a fresh, healthy, and indulgent start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) small-curd full-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 large ripe banana, mashed
  • 34 crunchy cookies, crushed (e.g., cinnamon graham crackers or buttery shortbread)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the ripe banana and place it in a mixing bowl. Mash with a fork until mostly smooth with some small lumps. If banana is underripe, add honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
  2. Add 1 cup of small-curd cottage cheese to the mashed banana and stir gently to combine until creamy.
  3. Mix in ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon chia or flaxseeds if using.
  4. Crush 3-4 cookies into bite-sized pieces using a rolling pin, cookie crusher, or hands.
  5. Spoon the cottage cheese and banana mixture into a serving bowl or jar. Sprinkle crushed cookies on top.
  6. Add fresh berries for garnish if desired. Drizzle a little extra honey on top if you want more sweetness.
  7. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

Keep cookies separate until serving to avoid sogginess. Serve chilled but let sit 5 minutes after fridge storage for best flavor. Use small-curd cottage cheese for best texture. Substitute dairy-free cottage cheese or silken tofu for vegan option.
