Tender steak bites coated in a rich garlic butter sauce paired with golden, crispy potatoes—perfect for a quick and indulgent weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450 g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 pound (450 g) baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, toss the halved baby potatoes with olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Bake the potatoes for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they’re golden brown and crispy.
  3. While the potatoes roast, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and season with salt and pepper. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak bites and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  5. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a burst of freshness.
  6. Arrange the crispy potatoes on a serving platter alongside the garlic butter steak bites. Serve immediately for maximum flavor and texture.

Notes

Ensure the skillet is hot before adding the steak bites for a perfect sear. Spread potatoes in a single layer for even crisping.
