Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet or ovenproof skillet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange skin-side up on the prepared pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, ranch seasoning, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, dried parsley, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  4. Spoon or brush half the glaze evenly over the chicken thighs, getting some under the skin.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and baste with the remaining glaze.
  7. Return to oven and bake another 10-15 minutes, until skin is golden and an instant-read thermometer reads at least 175°F (80°C) at the thickest part.
  8. For extra crispy skin, broil on high for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching closely.
  9. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon extra pan sauce over the top and garnish with more parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, pat chicken dry before seasoning for crispier skin. Baste with glaze halfway through baking for a sticky, caramelized finish. Broil briefly at the end for extra crispiness, but watch closely to prevent burning. Leftovers reheat well and are great for meal prep.
