This recipe combines the crisp crunch of fresh apples, the sticky sweetness of caramel drizzle, and the comforting warmth of fall spices into a shareable, snackable treat perfect for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 medium-sized apples, sliced thinly (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (dark, milk, or white)
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • Sprinkles or mini candies (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the apples thinly, about ¼ inch thick.
  2. Prevent browning by tossing apple slices in a mixture of 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 cup water. Drain and pat dry.
  3. Arrange the apple slices evenly on a large serving platter or tray, overlapping slightly.
  4. Warm store-bought caramel sauce in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or prepare homemade caramel sauce and let it cool slightly.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 15-second intervals and stirring until fully melted.
  6. Drizzle warm caramel sauce over the apple slices, followed by melted chocolate.
  7. Sprinkle chopped nuts, mini candies, or sprinkles evenly across the platter. Add a pinch of sea salt if desired.
  8. Serve immediately for the best texture. If preparing ahead, refrigerate apple slices and add toppings just before serving.

Notes

[‘Choose crisp and slightly tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best flavor and texture.’, ‘Prevent browning by using lemon water.’, ‘Reheat caramel sauce briefly if it starts to harden.’, ‘Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg over apples for extra flavor.’]
