Golden, flaky pastry filled with gooey melted brie, sweet-tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy nuts—perfect for holiday parties or elegant appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until smooth and slightly thinner. Cut into 24 squares (approximately 2×2 inches).
  3. Gently press each puff pastry square into the muffin tin, forming little cups.
  4. Slice the brie into small cubes, about 1 inch each, and place a cube in each pastry cup.
  5. Spoon a small dollop of cranberry sauce over the brie in each cup. Don’t overfill.
  6. Top each bite with a few pieces of chopped nuts and a tiny sprig of rosemary.
  7. Beat one egg and lightly brush the edges of the puff pastry with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted.
  9. Let the bites cool for 5 minutes in the pan before gently removing them. Use a knife to loosen any edges if needed.
  10. Serve warm for the best flavor.

Notes

[‘Keep the puff pastry cold to ensure it stays flaky.’, “Don’t overfill the cups to prevent overflow.”, ‘Toast the nuts for enhanced flavor.’, ‘Reheat bites in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes to restore crispness.’]
