  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of finely chopped pecans, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix everything until well combined.
  3. If using store-bought crescent roll dough, unroll it and separate it into individual triangles. If making homemade dough, roll it out into a rectangular shape and cut it into triangles using a knife or pizza cutter.
  4. Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture onto the wider end of each triangle. Spread it evenly, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Starting from the wide end, roll the triangle tightly towards the pointed end to form a crescent roll. Curve the ends slightly to create the classic crescent shape.
  6. Lightly beat one egg with a tablespoon of water and brush it over the tops of each roll. This will give them a golden, shiny appearance when they bake.
  7. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the rolls to cool for about 5 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!
