A quick and easy homemade dessert featuring a gooey, melty s’mores dip baked in a cast iron skillet, perfect for gatherings and cozy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers (classic honey-flavored)
  • 4 tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (about 100g) mini marshmallows
  • 1 ½ cups (270g) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) heavy cream (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup crushed graham crackers with the melted butter. Stir until all crumbs are coated and the mixture looks like wet sand.
  3. Press the crust firmly into the bottom of your cast iron skillet using the back of a spoon or your fingers to create an even layer.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the chocolate chips with the heavy cream and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust without stirring the layers together.
  6. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly on top of the chocolate layer.
  7. Lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the marshmallows.
  8. Bake the skillet for 12-15 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown and puffed, and the chocolate is melted and bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes to set slightly.
  10. Serve warm with extra graham crackers, sliced fruit, or pretzel sticks for dipping.

Notes

If marshmallows brown too fast, tent the skillet loosely with foil. For a smoother chocolate layer, warm the cream before mixing. Use mini marshmallows for even melting. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 2-3 days and can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
