A quick and easy chocolate covered strawberry bouquet platter that’s perfect for gifts and any occasion, combining juicy berries with glossy chocolate in a stunning edible arrangement.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds (900 g) fresh strawberries, firm and ripe
  • 12 ounces (340 g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips or bars, chopped
  • 4 ounces (115 g) white chocolate, melted for drizzling (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • Wooden skewers or bamboo sticks
  • Decorative elements: edible gold leaf, crushed nuts, or sprinkles (optional)
  • Wrapping materials: clear cellophane, ribbons, floral foam or sturdy base for platter

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly to remove all moisture (about 10 minutes).
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and insert wooden skewers halfway into the stems of each strawberry.
  3. Melt chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of vegetable or coconut oil in 30-second intervals in a microwave-safe bowl or use a double boiler until smooth and glossy.
  4. Dip each strawberry by holding the skewer, swirling to coat evenly with chocolate. Let excess drip off and place on parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle melted white chocolate over dipped strawberries for a marbled effect if desired.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts, edible glitter, or sprinkles on the chocolate before it sets.
  7. Chill dipped strawberries in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to harden the chocolate.
  8. Arrange the skewered strawberries in floral foam set inside your platter, alternating berry sizes and decorations for balance.
  9. Wrap the bouquet in clear cellophane and tie with a ribbon if gifting. Keep refrigerated until serving.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing. Use vegetable or coconut oil to thin chocolate for a glossy finish. Chill strawberries before dipping to help chocolate set faster. Arrange bouquet using floral foam for stability. Avoid frozen strawberries as they release moisture causing chocolate to seize. Prepare dipped strawberries a day ahead and assemble bouquet just before serving for best freshness.
