Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the blondie base to cool completely in the pan before frosting.
  7. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled blondie base.
  8. Sprinkle the chopped cranberries over the frosting. Drizzle the melted white chocolate in a zigzag pattern for a decorative finish.
  9. Refrigerate the bars for 30 minutes to set the frosting, then use a sharp knife to slice into squares or triangles.

Notes

[‘Don’t overmix the batter to keep the blondie base soft and chewy.’, ‘Ensure eggs and cream cheese are at room temperature for smooth mixing.’, ‘Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean edges.’, ‘Refrigerate the bars before slicing for neat, professional-looking pieces.’, ‘Customize the drizzle with colored white chocolate or edible glitter for a festive touch.’]
