A simple and natural electrolyte drink made with pink Himalayan salt, fresh citrus juices, and a touch of sweetener to refresh and boost energy quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 teaspoon finely ground pink Himalayan salt
  • Juice of 1 medium lemon (about 2 tablespoons / 30 ml)
  • Juice of 1 medium lime (about 2 tablespoons / 30 ml)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups (16 fl oz / 480 ml) cold filtered water
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Juice the citrus: Squeeze the juice from one lemon and one lime into your mixing glass or bottle, about 4 tablespoons (60 ml) total. Watch out for seeds.
  2. Add the pink Himalayan salt: Measure out 1/4 teaspoon (about 1.2 grams) of finely ground pink Himalayan salt and add it to the citrus juice.
  3. Sweeten the mix: Stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 ml) of honey or maple syrup, depending on your sweetness preference.
  4. Pour in cold filtered water: Add 2 cups (480 ml) of cold filtered water to the mixture.
  5. Mix well: Use a spoon or shake the bottle vigorously until the salt and sweetener dissolve completely.
  6. Taste and tweak: Take a small sip. If it’s too salty, add a little more water. If it’s too tart, add a bit more sweetener.
  7. Serve chilled: Add ice cubes or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before enjoying. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Use fresh citrus juice for best flavor and nutrient content. Adjust sweetness after mixing to balance acidity. Use filtered water to avoid dull taste. Do not overdo the salt to prevent unpleasant flavor. Can prepare in larger batches and store in fridge up to 24 hours; stir before serving.
