Tender beef simmered in a rich, savory broth paired with ramen noodles, perfect for cozy nights and effortless cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) beef chuck or stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cups (950ml) low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 12 ounces (340g) uncooked ramen noodles
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • Sriracha (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In your slow cooker, combine the beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Stir to mix.
  3. Place the beef into the slow cooker, ensuring it’s fully submerged in the liquid. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  4. After cooking, check the beef to ensure it’s tender and easily shred with a fork. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the ramen noodles to the slow cooker. Stir them into the broth and let them cook until tender (usually 15-20 minutes).
  6. Ladle the beef and noodles into bowls. Garnish with sliced green onions and drizzle with sriracha if desired.

Notes

[‘If you have time, searing the beef in a hot skillet before adding it to the slow cooker adds extra depth of flavor.’, ‘Taste as you go and adjust the soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to get the perfect balance.’, ‘Add the noodles at the end to avoid them becoming mushy.’, ‘Customize the broth with star anise, cinnamon, or cloves for a richer, spiced profile.’, ‘Fresh ginger and garlic make a huge difference in flavor compared to powdered versions.’]
