Tender, juicy pork chops drenched in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce, made effortlessly in a slow cooker for a comforting and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, freshly minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Italian seasoning on both sides.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  4. Place the seared pork chops in the slow cooker. Pour the garlic parmesan sauce over the top, ensuring the chops are fully coated.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork chops are tender and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve the pork chops with the sauce spooned generously over the top.

Notes

[‘Searing the pork chops before slow cooking adds extra flavor and a slight caramelized crust.’, ‘Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best sauce texture.’, ‘If the sauce is too thin, thicken it with a slurry of 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water.’, ‘Taste the sauce before serving and adjust with a pinch of salt if needed.’]
